ESG AND FOOD SURPLUS MANAGEMENT: AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
By Pane Quotidiano
As part of the TuttoFood 2025 exhibition, ONG Pane Quotidiano is organizing an event focused on the topic of food surplus management from an ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) perspective.
The event will open with a scenario-based study presented by the international research institute IPSOS, offering a snapshot of the current level of engagement of Italian companies on the topic. This will be followed by contributions from representatives of leading companies in the agri-food supply chain and the logistics operator STEF, who will share their best practices and discuss challenges and opportunities.
The event will explore how food surplus donation can serve not only as an ethical response to food poverty, but also as a strategic lever for improving ESG performance. The goal is to raise awareness among businesses and stakeholders about the active role the agri-food sector can play in building a more sustainable and inclusive future.
